The Philadelphia Eagles have beaten the New York Jets 24-17 at the MetLife Stadium, but had to survive a late comeback threat from the hosts this evening.
Chip Kelly's side went into the lead in the first quarter with a Cody Parkey field goal from 30 yards.
Into the second, and Darren Sproles returned an 89-yard punt in superb fashion to put the Eagles 10-0 ahead.
Sam Bradford found Ryan Matthews with less than five minutes remaining for the Eagles' third touchdown of the night, before Sproles managed the fourth with two minutes to go.
The Jets managed to finally get onto the scoreboard with six seconds remaining in the second quarter as a Ryan Fitzpatrick pass found Ben Marshall for a 16-yard score.
Todd Bowles's side came further into the game in the fourth quarter when Fitzpatrick was able to find Jeremy Kerley for a seven-yard touchdown and bring the game to 24-14 with over nine minutes remaining.
Nick Folk kicked the Jets closer again with a 53-yard field goal with just over two minutes left in the game, but the Eagles stayed strong and held on for the win.
