National Football League star Peyton Manning has been released from the Indianapolis Colts after 14 years.
Manning, 35, is widely recognised as one of the greatest players to ever play the sport, but has suffered with injury in recent seasons, missing the entire 2011 campaign following three neck operations.
The club's decision to release Manning gives him free agent status, allowing him to negotiate with other clubs immediately.
Manning joined Indianapolis in 1998, winning the Super Bowl in 2007 and taking the team to the play-offs 11 times.
