Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr returned to limited practice on Wednesday and is expected to play against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
Carr sustained ankle and knee issues during the heavy loss to the Miami Dolphins at Wembley last month, but he is confident that he will be able to make a return.
"It would take a lot for me not to play. It felt really good out there," he told reporters.
Interim Oakland coach Tony Sparano conceded that Carr is day-to-day and would not commit to whether or not he would play against San Diego.
However, the rookie quarterback did participate in an extra practice session on Monday in order to prove his fitness.
