Ray Guy has said that he hopes his inclusion in this year's NFL Hall of Fame class will inspire the next generation of punters.
The former Oakland Raiders punter, who won three Super Bowls during his career, is the first punter to be voted into the Hall.
The 64-year-old told the Hartford Courant: "It's going to give the younger generation, the punters and the placekickers and the snappers and all that, it's given them hope now that there's a place for us and now it's more recognised."
Guy was selected seven times for the Pro Bowl during his 14-season career.
