The Oakland Raiders picked up back-to-back wins in the AFC West after beating the New York Jets 34-20 in California this morning.
Derek Carr starred as the 24-year-old quarterback threw four touchdown passes in the first three quarters to help Oakland build on their win over San Diego last time out.
The Jets looked on course to lead 3-0 heading into the second quarter courtesy of a 40-yard field goal from Nick Folk, but Andre Holmes touched down with under two minutes to go.
Two more successful passes from Carr opened up a 21-6 half-time lead, with Michael Crabtree and Holmes crossing into the endzone as the Raiders looked in cruise control.
Taiwan Jones crossed in the third quarter to extend that advantage to 22 points, but Geno Smith's four-yard pass was caught by Eric Decker shortly after as New York threw themselves the slimmest of lifelines.
Field goals from Sebastian Janikowski effectively sealed the win for Oakland, with Kellen Davis - and Smith again the provider - touching down in the final quarter for a consolation on an otherwise disappointing night.
