Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has insisted that he is not worrying about whether he will be named as the starting quarterback against the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday.
Michael Vick began the season as the Eagles' number one choice but picked up an injury last week that allowed Foles to start yesterday's match against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The back-up quarterback impressed during the match, throwing for three touchdowns and running for one of his own as the Eagles secured a 31-20 win.
Foles's performance has raised questions over whether he has earned a starting spot, but the 24-year-old is more concerned with celebrating the victory with his teammates.
"I don't worry about it. I'm really proud of my team for winning right now. It was a hard-fought game. I'm going to enjoy it with my teammates," Foles told reporters.
"No matter what happens, I'm going to stay the same person. Mike was tremendous [today]. He and [third-choice quarterback] Matt [Barkley] were right there supporting me."
Next Sunday's match against the Cowboys will decide who go top of the NFC East, with both sides currently level with 3-3 records.
