Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has refused to name a long-term starting quarterback despite Nick Foles's record-equalling display on Sunday.

Foles became only the seventh player in NFL history to throw seven touchdown passes in a single match as the Eagles ended a two-game losing streak with an emphatic 49-20 win over the Oakland Raiders at the weekend.

However, with usual first-choice quarterback Michael Vick expected to return from a hamstring injury in the coming weeks, Kelly refused to confirm whether Foles would remain in the side for the foreseeable future.

"I think you're more worried about it than [Foles] is," Kelly told reporters.

Foles was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in his first start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers three weeks ago, but followed that up with a poor showing against the Dallas Cowboys seven days later.

However, Kelly believes that the display against the Cowboys was a one-off and intends to build upon Foles's two most positive performances so far.

"I thought the Cowboys game was the exception, not the rule. That was the first time I saw that out of him. So we'll work off the Tampa game and this game and go from there," added Kelly.

The Eagles will face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
