Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell has set week two of the season as a target date for his return from injury.
Bell suffered a mid-foot sprain during his side's 24-13 pre-season loss to the Washington Redskins two weeks ago, but has recently returned to light training.
Despite setting himself a target date, the 21-year-old rookie is determined not to rush back from injury and insists that he will only return when he feels that he is 100% fit.
"I'm going to try and get back by week two, but I'm not making any promises. I'm going to make sure I'm 100% before I do anything," Bell told reporters.
"I'm just going to be smart about it so once I do come back it's not still bothering me. I want to make sure I don't have to be thinking about it on the field."
Bell will play no part in the Steelers' opening match of the season, which comes against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
