Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has admitted that he is irritated and frustrated by his side's form so far this season.

The Steelers have won just two of their opening eight matches and conceded an all-time franchise record number of points and yards in the 55-31 defeat at the hands of the New England Patriots in their last outing.

It is the first time that the team have not had a winning record at the halfway stage of the season under Tomlin, but the seventh-year coach insists that he is unconcerned by personal records and just wants to see his side win matches.

"It's difficult because of the result of games, but not anything from a personal standpoint. I don't care about my personal record and things of that nature, just the way that was framed. I want to be clear in that regard," Tomlin told reporters.

"We're here to win. That's our job, that's our passion. We're not getting it done consistently to this point, so that's irritating and frustrating and all of the above."

The Steelers are currently bottom of the AFC North and will face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
