Two touchdowns from Antonio Gates hand the San Diego Chargers a half-time lead over the Seattle Seahawks in their NFL clash.

The San Diego Chargers hold a narrow six-point lead over the Seattle Seahawks in their NFL clash at Qualcomm Stadium, with the score at 20-14 at the break.

The Chargers went at the Seahawks from the off and had some success driving down the field before Philip Rivers was sacked by Michael Bennett, but Nick Novak still kicked a 50-yard field goal to give the home side the lead.

Seattle responded immediately with a trick play as Russell Wilson tossed the ball to wideout Percy Harvin, who ran all the way into the endzone for a 51-yard touchdown.

However, there was controversy on the play as Harvin's foot was out of bounds, but the incident was not spotted by the officials on the field and in the league head office, reviewing the footage.

San Diego battled back and retook the lead in the second quarter when Rivers hit tight end Antonio Gates on a slant route for an eight-yard touchdown.

Novak added another field goal to further his side's lead, but the Chargers seized further initiative when Harvin fumbled the ball from the kickoff. Rivers threw his second touchdown of the game when he found Gates again in the endzone.

Seattle showed their championship calibre as Wilson drove them the length of the field in 50 seconds, and he hit Robert Turbin in the flat for a simple touchdown.
