The San Francisco 49ers have taken a commanding 28-3 lead into half time of their International Series match against the Kansas City Chiefs at Wembley.

The 49ers made a perfect start to the match when they scored a touchdown on the very first drive, Frank Gore running straight through the middle of the defensive line before sidestepping another defender and going over for a 19-yard score.

This lead was extended late in the first quarter as Colin Kaepernick took advantage of some good blocking to run around the defence and dive in for a 12-yard rushing touchdown.

Things got even worse for the Jaguars early in the second quarter as Kaepernick fooled the defence with a play-action fake before floating a pass over to a wide-open Vernon Davis in the endzone.

Kaepernick continued his fine personal performance by rushing for his second touchdown of the match, showing good pace and strength to go over from nine yards.

The Jaguars finally got on the scoreboard with 15 seconds left of the half as Josh Scobee slotted a 38-yard field goal between the posts to reduce the deficit to 25 at the break.
