First-half touchdowns from Michael Crabtree and Carlos Hyde have helped the San Francisco 49ers to a 14-6 half-time lead over the Arizona Cardinals at the University of Phoenix Stadium.
The Cardinals were the first to make things count as Chandler Catanzaro measured up from 51 yards out to kick for three points.
The 49ers were quick to respond though, as Colin Kaepernick produced some neat work to find Crabtree from two yards for the touchdown, allowing Phil Dawson to kick for the extra point.
In a second quarter that started tamely, Arizona pulled within a point when Catanzaro held his nerve to produce an efficient kick to grab three points from 32 yards.
However, San Fran's Hyde was on hand to add some fireworks to the first half as the running back pulled away with a six-yard sprint, before Dawson added the formalities to move the score to 14-6 at the break.
