Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback BJ Daniels is claimed off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks.

The Seattle Seahawks have claimed former San Francisco 49ers quarterback BJ Daniels off waivers.

The Seahawks' NFC West rivals cut the rookie earlier this week, in order to bring in free agent John Skelton.

The 49ers were reportedly hoping that Daniels would clear waivers, allowing them to sign him to their practice squad.

Daniels will sit behind starter Russell Wilson and backup Tavaris Jackson on the Seahawks' depth chart.
