Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson believes that the occasion will not get the better of him when he takes the field in Super Bowl XLVIII.
Wilson will lead his side against the Denver Broncos in their clash at MetLife Stadium in just his second campaign in the NFL.
"I'm always poised, I'm always calm," he told reporters. "I think that the biggest thing and just being the calm in the storm for the other ten guys in the huddle.
"Probably beating real slow. It will be exciting obviously, there's no more special moment than this in terms of playing in the NFL.
"You dream for this as a little kid and I'm so excited about it but at the same time I know that's the biggest thing that I have to do is calm my nerves, making sure that I play cool, calm, and collected and just go after it."
Wilson threw for 26 touchdowns in the 2013 regular season.
