Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has revealed that he will play this season if a new contract has not been agreed.
Wilson is keen to have his deal renewed after a stellar three campaigns, which has included two Super Bowl appearances, but reports suggest that it may not be concluded this year.
When asked if he would play this season, he told The Seattle Times: "Yeah, I'm prepared for that 100%, if that's the case. You know, I want to be here for a long time, but if that's the case I've just got to get ready to play.
"I love the game, and I love being out here with these guys and just playing, and so ultimately I just take it one day at a time and just see where it takes me."
Wilson has thrown 72 touchdowns in three seasons.
