An unidentified player on the St Louis Rams roster has conceded that Michael Sam's upcoming reality show could potentially be a distraction for the team.
The show will document Sam's experience in entering the NFL and how he fights to establish himself within the team as the first openly gay player in the NFL.
"It's an interesting case that he gets to work with Oprah [Winfrey] and have his own show, but I think it does raise eyebrows and it may be somewhat of a distraction," the player said, ESPN reports.
Despite being drafted in the seventh round, Sam had the second most popular jersey of draft weekend after selling more than every other rookie except Johnny Manziel.
