Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik has revealed that Darrelle Revis could make his debut for the team next week.
The cornerback, who joined the NFC South side in a trade from the New York Jets earlier this year, was expected to miss the pre-season while he continues his recovery from a knee ligament tear.
However, Dominik told ESPN: "You don't want to push. You want to stick with your plan.
"But we may want to get him on the field week three of the pre-season, get a few series in, get it over with, get it out of his head, so that week one in New York he's ready to go."
The Buccaneers will play the Miami Dolphins in their third pre-season game.
