Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak has admitted that losing quarterback Jake Locker to injury is a "blow" for his side.
Locker picked up a hip injury in the third quarter of his side's 38-13 win over the New York Jets on Sunday after being hit by Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson.
Early reports suggest that Locker could be sidelined for six weeks but, while he admitted that it is a blow, Munchak believes that back-up quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has what it takes to step up.
"It's a blow to the team, no doubt about it. Unfortunately, in sports this happens," Munchak told reporters.
"Luckily, we have Fitz, who we think is a very good quarterback. We're going to have to go forward with that, but in the meantime, we hope at some point we have Jake back."
The Titans currently have a record of 3-1 and will face the Kansas City Chiefs in their next match.
