The Dallas Cowboys are halfway toward their seventh successive win in the NFL after recording a 7-3 half-time lead over the Washington Redskins this morning.
The Cowboys went into the clash at the AT&T Stadium with a six-game winning streak to protect and have not won seven on the spin since 2007.
However, their bid to extend that streak suffered an early hitch when Kai Forbath kicked a 44-yard field goal after five minutes in what proved a cagey opening quarter in Texas.
Jason Garrett's side enjoyed a fruitful second quarter, however, and broke the deadlock through Dez Bryant after 10 minutes. It was Bryant's fourth touchdown of the regular season.
Dan Bailey added the extra point shortly after as Dallas headed into the break with a narrow four-point lead.
