Hannah England has said that she believes the Commonwealth Games record in the women's 1,500m could be broken yet again in the final tomorrow.

Nancy Langat's time of 4:05.26 from Delhi was broken by Kenya's Hellen Onsando Obiri in the first heat this morning as she set a time of 4:04.43, with the second and third qualifiers - New Zealand's Nikki Hamblin and Scottish hopeful Laura Muir - also finishing ahead of the previous record.

With the Games record still a way shy of the world-record time of 3:50.46, England believes that there is room for further improvement in Glasgow.

"That's interesting that the Games record went today," she told reporters afterwards. "Someone told me last week that the Games record was only 4:05. I think that could go again. It will be interesting."

England finished fourth in her heat with a season's best 4:05.62 to qualify for the final, which takes place tomorrow night at Hampden Park.
