Usain Bolt and Andy Murray take centre stage on day nine of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Sports Mole previews the action.

After one of the most thrilling days in British Olympic history, which saw Team GB add six golds to their medal tally at London 2012, day nine promises similar fireworks.

Sports Mole has compiled a list of today's must-see events.

11am - Women's marathon at The Mall
Following Paula Radcliffe's decision to pull out through injury, Britain's hopes of success rest with the trio of Claire Hallissay, Freya Murray and Mara Yamauchi.

2pm - Sailing: Men's finn final at Weymouth
Triple Olympic champion Ben Ainslie is competing at his last Games before retirement. The 35-year-old is the odds-on favourite to claim gold once again.

2pm - Murray's medal matches at Wimbledon
British number one Andy Murray is guaranteed at least two silver medals at SW19 today. First, he will face familiar foe Roger Federer in the singles final, which is scheduled to begin at 2pm.

Once he and Federer have collected their respective medals, the 25-year-old Scot will then be immediately joined on court by Laura Robson for the start of their mixed doubles final against Victoria Azarenka and Maxim Mirny of Belarus.

3.41pm - Gymnastics: Pommel horse at North Greenwich Arena
Britain's Louis Smith is favourite for gold in his signature event. However, the Beijing bronze-medalist will have to be at his best to overcome Hungary's Krisztian Berki.

6.16pm - Ed Clancy goes for omnium gold at the Velodrome
Ed Clancy won gold in record-breaking fashion along with Geraint Thomas, Peter Kennaugh and Steven Burke in the men's team pursuits on Friday.

This evening, the 27-year-old can achieve some personal glory in the men's omnium event.

9.10pm - Women's 400m final at Olympic Stadium
Team GB's Christine Ohuruogu, who won gold amid memorable scenes in Beijing four years ago, cruised through to the semi-finals in a time of 50.22 seconds yesterday evening. It would be a huge surprise if she were not among the starters in tonight's final.

9.50pm - Men's 100m final at Olympic Stadium
The quickest and most high-profile Olympic event is finally upon us. Will Jamaica's Usain Bolt smash the world record once again? Or maybe Dwain Chambers could spring a surprise?
