Great Britain's Jessica Ennis has revealed that she will not be competing indoors this season.
The 27-year-old, who won gold in the heptathlon at last year's London Olympics, has admitted that she has taken the decision to ensure that she is in the best shape for the World Championships in Moscow.
"After the incredible high of the Olympics and the post-Games celebrations I went back into tough winter training with an open mind on whether or not I would want to compete indoors this year," said Ennis.
"Training has been going well, but I feel that my focus really has to be attempting to win another world title in Russia this summer and not the short term indoor season."
The Championships will get underway in the Russian capital on Saturday, August 10.
