Kenyan distance runner Eliud Kipchoge has insisted that a new world record can be set at the Berlin marathon for the third successive year.
Wilson Kipsang and Dennis Kimetto have registered new fastest times in the German capital in 2013 and 2014 respectively, with a total of 10 world records, seven in the men's event and three in the women's race, being set over the 26.2-mile distance.
The 30-year-old is quoted by Supersport as saying: "If everything comes together in Berlin, something very special can happen.
"I'm convinced that Emmanuel Mutai and I can push on together towards a new world record."
Geoffrey Mutai, the 2012 winner, will also compete in the race.
