Damian Lillard scored 29 points to lead the Portland Trail Blazers past the New Orleans Pelicans to their sixth win in the last seven games.

LaMarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews both added 18 points of their own, but it was Lillard who hit a late three-point shot to secure a 110-107 success for the Blazers.

The Oklahoma City Thunder got the better of the San Antonio Spurs, with Russell Westbrook recording 31 points and eight assists in the 113-100 triumph.

Oklahoma scored 40 points in a dominant second quarter that provided the platform for the victory over their NBA title rivals.

The Memphis Grizzlies ended a run of five games without a win by beating the New York Knicks 95-87 at Madison Square Garden.

Zach Randolph starred for the Grizzlies as he posted 25 points and 15 rebounds in his team's sixth away victory of the season.

The Boston Celtics wasted an 18-point lead as they fell to a 106-99 defeat to the Washington Wizards in front of their own fans.

Trevor Ariza scored 27 points and John Wall contributed 20 more for the Wizards, who scored 30 in each of the final three quarters.

Rudy Gay and Isaiah Thomas both recorded 23 points as the Sacramento Kings edged past the Orlando Magic 105-100 at the Amway Center.

Trey Burke scored 20 points, with 10 coming in the final quarter, as the Utah Jazz earned an 88-85 win over the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Bobcats threatened late on, but a three-point shot and two free-throws from Burke helped the Jazz to their eighth victory of the season.

Despite being without James Harden, who was out of action with a sprained ankle, the Houston Rockets cruised to a 114-97 triumph over the Detroit Pistons.

Eric Bledsoe scored 25 points and Gerald Green added 22 for the Suns to condemn the Mavericks to their ninth away loss of the season.

The Golden State Warriors earned a comfortable 102-83 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, who struggled without a number of key players.

Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Jordan Farmar and Steve Blake were all missing as the Lakers lost their 14th game of the current campaign.

The Los Angeles Clippers led for the whole contest in a 112-91 triumph over the Denver Nuggets at the Staples Center.

Blake Griffin recorded 24 points and 16 rebounds as the Clippers dominated in their 19th home win of the season.
