Brad Stevens has claimed that the Boston Celtics should take the positives from their 93-87 loss to the Toronto Raptors.
The Celtics started their season with a defeat on the road but Stevens believes that he has the players to compete with the best in the NBA.
"At the end of the day we didn't do everything perfectly," the former Butler Bulldogs coach told journalists after the game.
"I didn't coach a perfect game, but I think we can all rest assured we've got a team that will fight and we've got a team that will compete.
"And we can shore up a couple of those mistakes, maybe we can come out the other end of it."
The Celtics will continue their search for a first win this season when they host the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night.
