The Brooklyn Nets have confirmed that Brook Lopez will make his first appearance of the season against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.
A foot sprain suffered in pre-season forced Lopez to miss the first two games of the new campaign, but the 26-year-old center will be back in action for Brooklyn's opening home game at the Barclays Center.
"I don't think nervous, but anxious. Anxious is a good word," Lopez told reporters. "I'm excited to play tomorrow. I wish it was right now. It's like Christmas."
Lopez, who boasts a career average of 18 points per game, has not played a regular-season game since last December.
Brooklyn earned their first win of the season with a 102-90 success over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday.
