Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams has revealed that he is "excited" by talk from his coach Jason Kidd that he should be in the MVP conversation this season.
Following the arrival of big-name players this summer, the Nets have been tipped to make an impression in the Eastern Conference this year.
"It definitely excites me when they're talking about you like that. I feel like if we're winning and I'm playing well, it will take care of itself. I don't get caught up too much in that stuff," he said, according to Bleacher Report.
However, Williams will have to have a special season if he is to beat the likes of LeBron James and Kevin Durant to the accolade.
