The San Antonio Spurs extended their unbeaten run to 16 games by crushing the Denver Nuggets.

The Western Conference leaders scored their highest points total of the season, with Marco Belinelli adding 27 and Tim Duncan contributing 20.

The Miami Heat cruised to an emphatic win over the Detroit Pistons to close the gap to the top of the Eastern Conference.

LeBron James added 17 points before being rested in the fourth quarter, while five of his teammates also reached double figures.

The Toronto Raptors have clinched a place in the playoffs after narrowly beating the Boston Celtics for the second time this week.

DeMar DeRozan led the team with 30 points, while Amir Johnson made the winning basket with seven seconds remaining, giving the Canadian side their first playoff berth in six seasons.

The Oklahoma City Thunder survived a strong finish with the Sacramento Kings to claim a win.

Paul Pierce added 17 of his 22 points in the first quarter as the Nets pulled away before half time, setting them up for their 12th consecutive home win.

The Phoenix Suns clinched their sixth straight win by easing past the New York Knicks, who lost for the second time in three games.

Goran Dragic added 32 points in a 32-minute spell as the Suns pulled ahead early on and never looked like being caught.

The Golden State Warriors secured their first home win in six games at the ORACLE Arena, beating the Memphis Grizzlies.

The teams were close throughout, but Stephen Curry, who finished the game with 33 points, put the Warriors in front late on, before Klay Thompson added a pair of free throws to seal the win.

The Los Angeles Lakers were unable to recover from a good start by the Minnesota Timberwolves, slipping to a heavy defeat.

Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic led the home side's charge, helping them to a 31-point advantage by the end of the second quarter, which the Lakers were unable to recover from.

The Orlando Magic edged ahead of the Charlotte Bobcats in overtime to secure back-to-back wins.

The home side were eight points down at the start of the fourth quarter, but Nikola Vucevic led them back into the contest, before scoring a further five points in overtime.

The New Orleans Pelicans extended their winning run to five games with victory over the Utah Jazz.

The team shared the workload, although Tyreke Evans finished with a career-high 22 points.
