The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly targeting free agent Shawn Marion in order to add depth and experience to their roster ahead of the new season.
It is understood that the Cavs hosted Marion on Monday and are expected to make him an offer despite being unable to offer more than the league minimum.
The Indiana Pacers are also said to be interested in acquiring Marion, but having brought in LeBron James this summer, Cleveland have the advantage, according to ESPN.
During the Dallas Mavericks' title win in 2011, Marion averaged 11.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while also guarding the likes of Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and James during the post-season.
