The Cleveland Cavaliers are 'optimistic' about capturing the signature of free agent Ray Allen, according to an NBA journalist.
Before taking free agency, Allen was thought to be keen on linking up with LeBron James, with Yahoo! Sports journalist Marc J Spears tweeting that the franchise is hopeful of securing a deal.
An article from the same news provider earlier suggested that veteran Shawn Marion has also decided to join the Cavs.
