The Dallas Mavericks have completed a trade with the Boston Celtics to acquire Rajon Rondo in exchange for a number of players and future Draft picks.
The point guard and forward Dwight Powell head to the Southwest Division side in exchange for Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder, Jameer Nelson and Draft selections, including a first-round pick next year.
The 28-year-old wrote on Twitter: "My time in Boston has meant so much. I've grown up with this city both as a basketball player and person.
"The love I have for the most loyal And supportive fans in the league is unmatched. I look forward to building something special in Dallas."
Rondo could make his first appearance for his new side when they face the reigning NBA champions, the San Antonio Spurs, on Saturday.
