There were 15 points apiece for Nikola Jokic, Paul Millsap, Gary Harris, Jamal Murray and Torrey Craig, while Will Barton scored 13, Monte Morris 11 and Malik Beasley 10 as Denver inflicted the third loss in a row for the Wizards.
The Nuggets have already clinched a Western Conference play-off berth along with the Golden State Warriors, the defending champions.
Kevin Durant put personal tragedy to one side and scored 15 points, had six assists and blocked three shots as the Warriors trampled the Indiana Pacers 112-89.
A childhood friend of Durant was shot to death in Atlanta on Thursday.
