The Houston Rockets are reportedly pushing to convince former Memphis Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins to join their coaching staff as an assistant to Kevin McHale.
The Grizzlies declined to offer Hollins a new contract following a 56-win season in 2013 which saw them go on to reach the Western Conference finals.
Hollins has been interviewed by a number of teams in recent months, including the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers who are still looking to appoint a new coach, ESPN reports.
However, it is understood that Hollins continues to wait for his next opportunity as a head coach and he is not in any rush to accept Houston's offer.
