Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin has said that his side showed no emotion in the first half of their 116-92 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday.
LA suffered without the injured Chris Paul, allowing Tiago Splitter and Tim Duncan to run riot in attack at the AT&T Center in Texas.
"In the first half we had no emotion. In the second half we communicated with one another. That's all we needed. We didn't need someone to talk like Chris [Paul]," Griffin told reporters after the game.
"That would be our biggest mistake, to try to replace him with someone or something. Everybody has to step up and do their job a little bit better."
Despite the defeat, the Clippers still find themselves at the top of the Pacific Division with a record of 23-13 for the season.
