The Los Angeles Lakers have announced that Steve Nash will not play again this season.
The NBA's oldest player has featured in just 10 games this season, having struggled with nerve-root irritation in his left leg throughout the campaign.
Coach Mike D'Antoni told the Los Angeles Times: "He's not going to play. It doesn't make any sense for him to come back for 15 games, whatever."
The 40-year-old has averaged 7.6 points per game this season.
