The Los Angeles Lakers have received a boost with the news that Nick Young will return to action on Sunday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
Young has been missing for three weeks with a non-displaced fracture of the patella and bone bruising, but he has proved his fitness in training to offer a valuable option to Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni.
"I didn't think it was going to be this long, to tell you the truth," the 28-year-old told reporters on Saturday evening.
"I'm just happy to be back. I can't wait to get out there tomorrow."
Young has averaged 16.9 points per game this season.
