Sports Mole rounds up the action from Sunday's four games in the NBA, where there was a historic milestone for New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony.

The Miami Heat became the last unbeaten team in the NBA's Eastern Conference by inflicting a first defeat of the season on the Toronto Raptors last night.

Former Raptor Chris Bosh led the Heat, now 3-0 for the season, with 21 points and 11 rebounds to a 107-102 victory at AmericanAirlines Arena - Miami's 16th straight win over Toronto. Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan led all scorers with 30.

Carmelo Anthony became the 40th player to reach 20,000 NBA points as the New York Knicks overcame the Charlotte Hornets 96-93 at Madison Square Garden.

Anthony, who is the sixth-youngest to reach the milestone, was the game's top-scorer with 28 as the Knicks improved to 2-1 for the season. Charlotte, now 1-2, had a chance to take the game to overtime, but Kemba Walker missed a push-shot with time winding down.

In a lunchtime LA tipoff, the Sacramento Kings ended the Los Angeles Clippers' 100% start to the season with an impressive victory on the road led by a dominant DeMarcus Cousins.

The center finished with 34 points, 17 rebounds and five assists to help the Kings to their second win in three games. The Clippers led by 10 in the third quarter but then struggled, especially from three-point range, in the fourth as the Kings ran out 98-92 winners.

The last game of the night saw the Golden State Warriors travel North to face the Portland Trail Blazers.

Golden State shooting-guard Klay Thompson led all scorers with 29 points after a career-high 41 the previous night against the Los Angeles Lakers. The game was tied going into the fourth quarter, with the Warriors coming through 95-90 thanks to some sloppy Portland play in the closing stages.

The Warriors are now 3-0 and it is their best start to a season in 20 years. Portland are 1-2.
