Mike Woodson has said that beating the Dallas Mavericks will give the New York Knicks a "boost" for the team.
The Knicks finished their three-game trip to Texas with a 92-80 win over the Mavericks, who have lost just six matches at home so far this season.
The coach told reporters: "It's been a successful trip. We lose a two-point game in Houston in which we had an opportunity to win. We played great in San Antonio.
"And to come in here and beat Dallas, who's playing well at home and playing well this season, it should be a boost for our team. I thought our bench was fantastic, and we are going to need our bench to play like they played tonight.
"I didn't even know if Kenyon [Martin, who scored 14 points,] was going to play tonight. We needed all of Kenyon tonight to carry this win."
The Knicks play at home tomorrow against the Detroit Pistons.
