The Eastern Conference have finally ended their losing streak in the NBA All-Star contest as they beat the Western Conference with a 163-155 victory on Sunday night.
Kyrie Irving was voted MVP for the game, having pushed the East towards a win with a contribution of 31 points and 14 assists on the night.
The victors were also boosted by the record-beating Carmelo Anthony, who notched eight three-pointers on his way to a score of 30.
The game could have been an entirely different story, however, as both Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin each finished with 38 points, four shy of Wilt Chamberlain's All-Star game record.
Durant and Griffin's contribution seemed like it would be enough for the West, but the East rallied from an 18-point deficit to come from behind, with LeBron James also finishing with 22 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
