Otto Porter has said that he is close to being able to make his debut for the Washington Wizards.
The third overall pick in this year's Draft has missed the start of the season after injuring his hip in training camp.
The 20-year-old told CSNWashington.com: "I feel good, for the first time, going up and down [the court]. I don't know about Friday. But I feel like I'm getting more in shape."
Head coach Randy Wittman added: "I liked what I saw today. At the end, he got winded. That's going to be expected. It'll be interesting to see what kind of bounce he's got coming in tomorrow on a back-to-back [practice]."
The Wizards face the Milwaukee Bucks tomorrow night.
