Hesham Abdelaal of Egypt has beaten Kenya's Benson Njangiru by three points in the Olympic flyweight classification.
A high scoring first round ended 6-6, although the Egyptian had opened up a three-point lead as they entered the deciding round.
Njangiru went hell for leather in the final three minutes in an attempt to turn the result around, connecting with a few scoring punches.
Abdelaal had started to blow as the seconds ticked away and the Kenyan was finishing strongly.
However, the Egyptian hung on for a 19-16 victory.
