Team England boxer Qais Ashfaq has admitted that he was "gutted" to lose in the final of the Commonwealth Games on Saturday.
The bantamweight lost out to Northern Ireland's Michael Conlan, but did secure a silver medal in his first senior elite tournament.
"I am gutted, I wanted that gold medal, but I have just turned 21 years old. This is my first senior elite tournament and to reach the final is amazing," he told Sports Mole.
"I am very disappointed now but like I said, it is my first senior elite tournament and I have won a silver medal. I showed that I am on that top-class level and I know that on my day I can beat these guys."
Conlan was declared fit earlier this morning despite a cut that has plagued him throughout this summer's competition.
