British heavyweight Dave Allen has revealed that he was not impressed with Luis Ortiz's performance against Malik Scott on Saturday night.
Ortiz is widely regarded as the most feared heavyweight in the world, and despite winning every round against Scott, he received criticism for failing to knock out the American, who spent the entire bout on the back foot.
The Cuban is due back in the ring on December 10 and Allen has thrown his hat into the ring to face the 37-year-old as Matchroom Sport consider potential opponents for the southpaw.
The 24-year-old told Sky Sports News: "After seeing him on Saturday night, I fancy the job even more, and I feel a lot of other heavyweights will fancy the job now.
"He looks older than the real King Kong, so why am I going to fear a 70-year-old man? I don't think he's what he's hyped up to be, but I will give him more opportunity than Malik Scott to show he is the real deal.
"I'll stand in front of him and see what he's about. I'll stand and trade, because I can't do anything else - that's the problem. If I could box, maybe I would do that."
Allen has lost just once in 11 professional outings, with his sole defeat coming against Dillian Whyte in July.
