Nonito Donaire has revealed that he has no problem with taking on WBA super-bantamweight champion Scott Quigg in Manchester.
Quigg recorded victory over Kiko Martinez at the weekend to retain his title, and despite suggestions that he could meet Carl Frampton in a unification bout, a clash with Donaire looks more likely.
"Unfortunately I haven't seen Scott's fight but I congratulate him for the victory against a really tough opponent," the 32-year-old, who stopped Anthony Settoul in the second round of their fight at the weekend, told Boxing News.
"I'm very interested in that fight with Quigg. Hopefully we can make that happen. He's an incredible champion and I always want to face the best out there.
"It would be around November/December time by the sounds of it. I'm just focusing on that fight now, committing my mind to it regardless if it does happen or not because I know if it does happen, I'll need to be at 100%."
Quigg has not been beaten in 33 professional bouts.
