Charlie Flynn has admitted that he has been "itching" to turn professional for several years after finally making the decision to leave the amateur ranks.
The Scottish lightweight, who won gold at the Commonwealth Games during the summer, has linked up with Matchroom Sport, while he will be managed by Alex Morrison and coached by Peter Harrison.
The 21-year-old told BBC Scotland: "I've been itching to turn pro for years. I've beaten the best at amateur and now it's time to bring the medals back to Scotland at professional level."
Flynn will make his debut at the Thistle hotel in Glasgow on December 14.
