World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury says that he intends to retire from the sport after his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.

World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has said that his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko will be his last professional fight.

Fury has previously stated that he plans to face Klitschko, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder before retiring from the sport but his latest post on Twitter suggests that he is looking to end his career after his showdown with Klitschko in Manchester on July 9.

Fury recorded his 25th successive win last November when he surprised the boxing world in dethroning the unified title-holder in Dusseldorf.

The 27-year-old prevailed by unanimous decision to claim the WBA, WBO and IBF belts but he was stripped of his IBF title after failing to fulfil his mandatory duties.

Joshua now holds that version of the world title but for now at least, Fury will decline an opportunity to reclaim it later in 2016.
