Former world champion Ricky Hatton has admitted that David Haye "needs fans onside" following his brawl with Dereck Chisora on Saturday evening.

Haye jetted off to Las Vegas on Tuesday, with speculation rife about his punishment for his involvement at the press conference in Munich.

Hatton, however, has vowed to help his fellow Brit win back fans. He told The Sun: "He needs fans onside. He doesn't need me to tell him what happened on Saturday was a joke but I'd help him."

Hatton won 45 of his 47 professional fights.
