David Price has become the first British heavyweight champion from Liverpool after knocking out Sam Sexton at Aintree last night.
The 28-year-old also collected the Commonwealth heavyweight title by knocking out Norwich fighter Sexton in the fourth round.
"I felt like I boxed the perfect fight," Price told Sky Sports News.
"Sam didn't lay a glove on me. It was everything I worked towards since I first fought.
"Now I can move forward [with my career]."
Price troubled Sexton with his jab and had his opponent on the canvas twice before landing an uppercut which put Sexton on the ropes, and soon after landing with a right hook to floor the 27-year-old.
Sexton had only previously lost to Dereck Chisora professionally, while Price, a former Olympic bronze medalist, is now unbeaten in 13 professional bouts.
