Josh Warrington has eased to a points victory over Dennis Tubieron in their WBC featherweight world title eliminator bout at the First Direct Arena.
Warrington began the fight strongly as he immediately put his opponent on the backfoot with a series of powerful blows in the first round.
Tubieron rallied in the second to land a left on the chin of the 24-year-old, but that only spurred Warrington on to take control of the fight in the third and fourth rounds.
Warrington continued his assault as the rounds progressed, but was unable to land the finishing blow on the 25-year-old, who stood firm against the thunderous hits of the Leeds man.
However, Warrington was named the victor on a points decision by an overwhelming majority, with scores of 119-109, 119-110 and 119-109.
