Scotland's Josh Taylor clinched gold in the Commonwealth Games light welterweight final with a unanimous points decision win over Junias Jones of Namibia.
The 23-year-old seemed wary to take risks in the opening stages of the first round, but he grew in confidence as the first three minutes progressed to take advantage with some powerful strikes.
Jonas showed signs of improving when he returned for the second round, but Taylor's defensive technique was a source of frustration for the Namibian as the judges once again sided with the home favourite.
A desperate Jonas enjoyed the better of the exchanges in the final round to apply the pressure on his rival and increase the nerves for the supporters in Glasgow.
However, the onslaught arrived too late as the decision from the judges confirmed victory for Taylor, who made it two gold medals in the ring for Scotland on Saturday following Charlie Flynn's success earlier in the afternoon.
